Love What You Do, or Do Something Else
You will never achieve real success unless you like what you are doing.
No one has ever succeeded in a line of work they did not like.
Your chances of success are directly proportional
To the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do,
If you are in a job you hate,
Face the fact squarely and get out.
It is better to be a failure in a job you love,
Than attempting to be a success in something you do not.
Do not set compensation as a goal,
Find the work you love, and the compensation will follow.
The more you love what you are doing,
The more successful it will be for you.
Terry and I both enjoy NASCAR and hope to attend a race sometime, hopefully one close to the ocean as neither one of us have ever seen the ocean! Our favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. Dale Earnhardt was killed while racing in the Daytona 500 on February 18, 2001. The news was announced a few hours after the race. Because of his death NASCAR has implemented more safety measures for the sport. Soft walls have been installed at two race tracks. Hopefully no one else will die as a result of a head on impact with the wall. The grief Terry and I experienced was odd. We never grieved for someone we didnt know, but we did know Dale Earnhardt Sr. Terry didn't watch NASCAR for a few months after Dale Sr. was killed. He is watching now but the passion Terry felt for the sport isn't the same as before. Our driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr., driving the Budweiser #8 car.
