Steve has been playing the drums since he was five-years-old sitting on the front porch of his home in Merom, Indiana.  His first drum set consisted of an oatmeal box, several coffee cans and a couple of his mom’s pan lids, with wooden spoon handles serving as sticks. 

Over the years, naturally, his drum set leaned toward the traditional. Self-taught, he went on to become a member of several well-known local bands, from Black Sun, when he was a teenager, to Outlaw Blues, Limitz, Classics, The Raging Palominos, Shelly Kelley and The Profilers, Sundown Express, Animosity, and, most recently, Pix & Stix Band.
